Meet the Face behind the Scenes!

Hi! My name is Amy Naumann and I am responsible for maintaining this website for Audubon Elementary. I am a teacher here at Audubon Elementary School. I am the Teacher Librarian along with the Building Leader of Technology. This is my 5th year in this position and I love it. I enjoy working in the library and getting kids excited about reading and books. And I love using our computers and helping children see how much fun learning is when we use technology to help us.

I have my B.A. from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a degree in Elementary Education and a reading endorsement. I am currently working on obaining my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. I have just started my course work for my Masters and I am finding it both exciting and challenging. I am looking forward to learning many new ways to use technology in our building but most of all ways to enhance learning for our students. After achieving my Masters Degree my goal is to use the knowledge I have gained to increase the use of technology with both students and teachers. I also want to ensure that the technology we use is of high quality and the right tool for the educational need. I hope to gain the necessary skills to create e-learning lessons for our students that are of the highest quality and meet the needs of all learners. I am also looking forward to helping infuse the use of technology into all classrooms and all disciplines to meet the needs of our curriculum.

With the state of Iowa in the midst of rolling out the Iowa Core Curriculum this is an exciting time in education. One area of the Iowa Core Curriculum is 21st century skills and one strand of that is technology literacy. I am looking forward to using the knowledge I will gain as I strive to help students meet their learning tagets to become technologically literate!
